The title pretty much says it all:
What do you mean we're only halfway?!So July found us back on Bora Bora. Which, if you're going to be outside the US for the 4th of July, a former WW2 US island battle fortress/Pacific paradise ain't too shabby a place to fly old glory. They even had a party for us. Though some American traditions did get slightly "altered" in translation as you can see in "Bora Bora 4th of July"
It's the effort that counted though. You become very much more aware of the birthday of your nation when you're so far away from it.
And we got into a canoe race and managed to not completely embarrass ourselves in "The Tahiti-Moorea Rendezvous"!
We finally at long last got some video of a Polynesian church choir singing. You may not have heard but Polynesians have a reputation for jaw-droopingly good church music. They most certainly lived up to the hype. Check out our post "Polynesian Singing".
